No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been labeled as the best poker player on the globe by many of the top pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching turning 1. His grandpa taught him penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to learn anything he could about the game. He routinely told his parents that he was going to be a professional poker player. He didn’t let the detrimental comments from other people annihilate his goal of being one of the greatest poker competitors on the planet.

Phil started competing seriously after getting a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his skills at the casinos of Atlantic City. The beginning number of years for him were a teaching opportunity and winning wasn’t a regular thing at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 WSOP where he made 2 final tables and won his first WSOP bracelet, in a $2, 500 Pot-Limit Omaha game.
