No-Limit Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker competitor on the globe by quite a few of the top-ranked professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before reaching the age of one. His grandfather introduced him to one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. He became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker where he achieved 2 final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha game. At the final table he defeated quite a few of the better known pros which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He decided to take his game to the next level and headed out west to Sin City. Phil continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Ivey credits his achievements to dedication and an immeasurable passion for poker. He states that he is picking up skills every day and is very abashed about his achievements. He knows he makes mistakes in each session of poker and always strives to get better.

Despite the fact that Ivey has won some large tournaments, he likes destroying money games on a regular basis.
