Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to achieve final game in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Gus raked in a massive pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best bettors around the world. While gambling on web poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. He often competes in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of $40, 000. Gus frequently buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very poorly. He waits for a decent hand and then goes all in. I accept that Hansen is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is flat broke, he has no reason to settle at the table with the min buy-in.

Hansen is supposed to be one of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the full dollar value. I think tv can alter our view of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players in the world could be players you have never heard of. Gus can be found participating in net poker on Full Tilt. He usually plays in big stakes Omaha and Holdem.
