Poker Aces – how to play them
Posted in Poker on 10/29/2010 09:21 pm by FelipePoker Aces refers to two aces dealt pre-flop. It’s the strongest possible before theflop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But despite this a large number of gamblers end up on the wrong end when dealt these cards.
When you’re given a pair of Aces, you just don’t drop out before theflop. You’re positioned with the greatest possible hand at this part of the round. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I’d say no to that.
Bear in mind, you’re attempting to earn as much profit out of this strong position. You need to maximise the possibility. Going all-in will merely scare most gamblers into dropping out and not putting a bet.
If you are in the starting position (first or second to actually bet), you’ll lay a single wager. Anybody with decent cards will call, with luck a person will raise. If there has been a raise do not spring to re-raise or call, wait for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your course of action will be to get rid of any player that might get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you are fortunate you will fool 1 player into thinking that you’re bluffing.
If you are in the center or later seat (near the last to place a wager) you will observe as everybody calls and then raise. Even though you’re holding a pair of aces, if you can try to avert a show-down. Protect your hand by forcing others to drop out after the flop. If you don’t drive out your adversaries you chance losing your hand.
